Managing our own learning

Room 8 are learning to manage their own learning. They have learning tasks that are 'must do' or 'can do' and decide the order they will complete each part of their learning. They need to manage their time to ensure their work is completed by the end of the week.
Room 8's managing self success criteria

*Stay focused on our learning
*Take our time so our work is our personal best
*Keep trying even when it gets hard
*Put our things away in the right place
*When we finish one piece of learning look on the 'must d'o list for the next thing to do

We will add to this as we practice our managing self skills.

Sawing through the wood took a lot of determination.

Teague and Ruby very focussed learning new skills on the i-pad.

Neesha and George working through their 'must do' learning tasks.

I was very proud of the Kidd-li-winks first week of school. They made a great start to managing their own learning. It is going to be a fantastic year filled with lots and lots of learning. The Kidd-li-winks have also worked really well together.
