We were investigating how levers work. We began by finding out what happens when a lever has a little force compared to having a large force. Our prediction was right. The stronger the force on the lever the further the tinfoil ball went.
Our next investigation was to find out if it makes a difference where the lever is placed on the fulcrum. We played, observed and debated this. We ended up agreeing the longer the lever with the load the further the ball traveled.
We finished with a competition of trying to work out the right force to score a goal in the cup. There were quite a few goals scored but only one caught on film.
