Room 8 created puppets

The puppets use levers and forces to make them work. 

There was a lot of creativity, determination and working together to create the puppets. 

Ruby and Bailey were reading with their puppets at lunchtime.

Kahoot

Room 8 learnt a new game called Kahoot. It is a quiz where the children all compete against each other. Here is a snap shot of the excitement and competitive natures it brought out in the Kidd-li-winks.

We have been mixing up words in our writing like through and threw so our quiz was about those tricky words that sound the same but have different meanings. Here are a couple of examples of the quiz questions.

Gymnasts

Many children from Room 8 represented Parkvale School at the Gymnastics Festival.  

They represented Parkvale with PRIDE and have shown a lot of determination and commitment to learn the routines for mat, beam and vault.

Because we were such wonderful gymnasts showing PRIDE we got to have a turn in the foam pit. It was so much fun!

Congratulations gymnasts! You were wonderful.

Library Magic

We wrote about the library, a very special place in our school.

We used a poem written by an old student from Parkvale School, Nicole as our inspiration. If you would like to read it you will find it framed in our school library.
