Creative Kidd-li-winks

We have been learning how to make pom poms. To make a pom pom we have needed to show lots of determination. We looked in Pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/ for some ideas and inspiration. Pinterest is a place where you can find lots of ideas to make and create.

We planned what we wanted to create and began creating. Sometimes our plans worked perfectly and sometimes we needed to make changes to our plans because things didn't work out as expected.

The Kidd-li-winks have shown so much creativity and have problem- solved when ideas haven't worked. Look at some of the amazing creations.

Something that challenged me was the Massey Ferguson because I did not know what a Massey Ferguson was I thought it was a person. I really enjoyed the water slide because it was super fast. Something that challenged me was archery because I did not know how to use a bow and arrow.i lent how to move a raft .I had to show determination in the burma trail with a blindfold because I could not see a thing

Puff puff running towards the picnic tables I slid under. Ready for the next clue Sharie snatched an envelope and ripped it open.It said find a giant bite in the hills.Pit pat pit pat we ran down the ramp
and opened the gate. Running down the grass we saw a colossal bite in the hillside gleaming in the sun. Yes we've done that now whats next? George grabbed another clue. it said find the wood pile and count how many there are and oh my gosh that took  a long time.Next Logan opened a  clue it was find  a walnut shell and make it  float across pool without using your hands. But guess what I almost fell IN!!! The Amazing Race was a challenge and lots of fun.

I really loved the Amazing Race because when I hopped on the raft it went back and forward and the raft wobbled like jelly I had to stay in the middle to make the raft go steady. I learned how to show determination I had to work together as a group when we had to push the water to make the wallnut shell go to the other side of the pool. Camp was so fun.

I enjoyed the raft because I nearly fell off the raft.Something that challenged me most was the archery because the arrows wobbled like jelly. I learnt that new things are hard but if you show determination it wont be hard like when I didn't want to do the Burma Trail but I had to show determination and in the end I liked it.

Something that challenged me was archery because you had to pull the string back to your shoulder and I was not stronge enough to pull the string back to my shoulder then the second time I pulled string back to my shoulder.I learnt how to play Giant Foozeball you are probably wondering what Giant Foozeball is you know the game where the little plastic men are in this game and you move the little people around .instead of the plastic men it was YOU.

I really enjoyed the water slide because it was a bit bumpy and it felt good on my tummy and I don't let the pads stop me instead I spun around on the water slide and waited in line. The teachers made a amazing race! One of the things you have to do is find a walnut shell and go to the pool and find a way to get the shell across the pool and I skimmed it across the pools and my team came 3rd.

I really loved the water slide because there was bubbles to make you go TURBO FAST!!! And at the end of the slide there were rugby post pads that you smash into. You could go on your knees , tummy , butt and back. I had to have determination to keep on trying to shoot 2 hoops! I kept on trying again and again and I did it!

The Kidd-li-winks have learnt how to create their own blog posts. They have created a post about their camping experience. It is very exciting for all the Kidd-li-winks.

I really loved the amazing races because it was a challenge to find the clues in the envelopes. I loved working as a team making our parent into a mascot that joined with our name.

Water Slide

The water slide was a real favourite at camp. It was sooo  much fun even the teachers couldn't resist giving it a go. Well done to all children who went out of their comfort zone to go down the water slide. Ahhhhhhhhh!
The children got more and more confident and went flying through the air like Superman and crashing into the rugby pads...sometimes bowling over the parents. We all loved it lots. Can you see the horror and excitement in our faces all at the same time?
Can you spot the only crash on the water slide? Who was it?

Dress Ups

We used the dress ups to create a character. Room 8 was buzzing with laughter and creativity.

We used the writing skills we have been practising this year to write a character description or a story with the character we created from the dress ups.

I am a poor lady in a blue dress. I have a brown bag with nothing and no money in the bag very very nothing at all. I had skin colour and green old shoes. I walked down the street. I wanted to shop to shop to shop but I didn't have enough money to buyu food to eat the food. I was starving all the way home. Along the way I saw Wonder Woman I was thinking she can bring me food. She flew away and brought some food back for me to eat.

There is a very talented girl from Ecwescher High School named Rarity! She has white skin and beautiful twisty purple hair. The thing Rarity loves to do the most is making dresses for her friends . She knows a little talking dragon dog loves her. Rarity has her own dog called Lee. Sometimes Rarity steals her sisters name Sweetie Belle. Rarity steals her jewellery. Rarity's eyes are as blue as the sea and with her make up on she looks like a princess! Rarity's house is pink, purple, blue and really light green same with inside. BUT one day Princess Cleslesta came to see Rarity she could not believe her eyes because she was such a big fan. She did what she wanted make her dresses. Would you like a dress from Rarity?

One day I saw an evil grandmother lurking down the shadowy street. Suddenly she flicked around and saw me. Her face was a bears face and her snout was two inches poking out. Suddenly she kicked down the door of the bank so I called her Kungfu Grandma. Se had a scarlet shawl that disguised her bear fur. Her dress came all the way down to her toes. She even kept standing on her dress ans stumbling over.
Blasting out of where the door once stood wit her sacks filled with hundred dollar notes she jumped in a two meter high pram shaped car. It had pink cushioning on the seats. Suddenly an over sized machine gun popped up out of the roof of the pram. "FIRE" shrieked the old woman as she sped out of sight. Speeding down the road came the cops. Who called the cops? Whatever, we now have to get the money back into the bank today ad the wild chase began.

On a strange foggy night a strange person came in the moonlight. He had a night black mask like the face of a bat. A cape that would stretch into jet black bat wings. Some pitch black batamarangs and raven black grappling hooks. He didn't like Superman. His nick name was the Black Knight. His worst enemy is the Joker. When he moves he moves like the wind. He saves people from bad guys. It was Batman. Batman was nearly going to say hi to me until a giant robot that looked like the Joker and the Joker came. He tried to shoot the robot in the tummy so the kryptonite would explode. The kryptonite was the thing that powered the robot machine. When the robot machine nearly shot Batman the batmarangs hit the kryptonite and KABOOM BLAST BOOM went the robot machine. Hip hip hooray. Hip hip hooray.

Walking down the alley I saw an old grandma looking poor. She had a long red dress and an old modernified bandanna. She had sparkly bluey greeny eyes and Harry Potter type glasses that were half way down her nose. The red dress was as red as a rose and went down to her toes. Her bandanna was covered with orange and blue fish. The lady's skin was as white as snow. There were ruffles at the end of her dress she was tripping on while she was walking down the path. The lady's shoes are as black as the night sky when the moon is in its pit. Her eyes were shining in the glimpse of the moon. The grandma's teeth were as yellow as cheese. She reached inside a window and grabbed a bunch of asparagus and a fish, she must have been hungry, then carried on walking. A man was sitting down beside a fish and chip shop. The old lady went up to the man and slapped him on the face really hard. She pulled out a wallet from the mans pocket and walked down the path some more. The old lady was slowing down she stopped at an old deserted college with broken windows and ripped curtains two blocks down from the shop. The old lady started running so I call her THE AMAZING GRANDMA.
